Bills Working Out DL Red Bryant, OLBs Marcus Benard & Quentin Groves

Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Buffalo Bills are bringing in a few veteran defensive players for workouts on Monday including DL Red Bryant, OLB Marcus Benard and OLB Quentin Groves.

Bryant, 31, is among the best available free agents, but this is the first reported interest in him since the Jaguars released him back in March.

In 2014, Bryant appeared in all 16 games for Jacksonville and recorded 22 tackles, a half sack, and a forced fumble. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 31 defensive end in a 4-3 defense out of 59 qualifying players.

Groves, 31, most recently played for the the Titans, but like Bryant, he hadn’t found any reported interest since free agency got underway several months ago.

Last year, Groves appeared in all 16 games and recorded 18 tackles and a sack for the Titans.

Benard, 30, signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Jackson State back in 2009. He spent three years in Cleveland before joining the Cardinals in 2013.

Last year, Benard appeared in 12 games for Arizona and recorded nine tackles and a sack.

We have Bryant rated as the No. 4 player in our Top 25 Available Free Agents list.
