Brad Childress Fired

Fox Sports’s Jay Glazer was the first to report that the Minnesota Vikings have made the decision to move without Brad Childress as their head coach. The news follows the teams loss to the division rival Green Bay Packers. It appears that Leslie Frazier will take over as the teams head coach for the remainder of the season.

The Vikings are currently sitting at 3 – 7 which doesn’t give them a great chance at making the playoffs. The news isn’t all that surprising given that the team was expecting to build on last years success with the hope of making it all the way to the Super Bowl.

The most interesting aspect of today’s news will be how Frazier handles Brett Favre and his consistent struggles. Calls for Tarvaris Jackson are growing louder and the fan base has been restless as of late which makes it all the more interesting to see how Frazier will handle the pressure.
