Brady Quinn Moved Up To No. 2 QB For Tonight

ESPN’s Mark Schlereth reports that the Denver Broncos have moved Brady Quinn up to the teams No. 2 quarterback which obviously leaves Tim Tebow as the teams third string quarterback for tonight’s game.

This decision doesn’t mean that Quinn will be backing up Orton once the season is underway. John Fox most likely wants to see what Quinn can do against some better competition and from the training camp that he’s put together, he deserves a shot.

The Denver Post writes that Brady Quinn has looked good enough throughout the preseason that he could end up as the teams No. 2 quarterback.

Quinn decided to start working with a team of quarterback coaches, David Lee and Paul Hackett, to improve his overall play.

I feel like I can compete with anyone, given a fair chance,” Quinn said. “I mean, heck, throwing to Brandon Lloyd every play? Give me that chance.”

I don’t know why it is, or exactly how to explain it, but Brady is much better this year than he was last year,” cornerback Champ Bailey said. “He just seems much more confident.”

Tebow hasn’t shown much improvement and John Fox doesn’t seem to be favoring anyone of them so it very well could come down who has the better preseason. Denver will be playing at home against Buffalo so this is obviously something to monitor for Saturday’s game.
