Brady Quinn Will Start In Place Of Matt Cassel Against The Buccaneers

Adam Teicher reports that the Kansas City Chiefs have ruled out QB Matt Cassel for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This means that Brady Quinn will start in place of Cassel, who suffered a concussion last week, but hasn’t been able to pass the necessary tests to be cleared. Quinn looked good in relief of Cassel last week, but it was admittedly a very small sample size. It will be interesting to see if the offense improves while he is under center or if he is able to protect the ball better than Cassel was able to. If so, Quinn could very easily play his way into the starting job.
