Seattle Seahawks DT Brandon Mebane doesn’t appear to be optimistic about his future with the team. In fact, he’s ready to part ways instead of returning for the third-round tender that they’ve placed on him.
“I feel like I wasn’t in their plans,” said Mebane, via Tacoma News Tribune. “And I feel like I have the right to think that because I got a third-round tender. If they really wanted me, they had plenty of time to do what they had to do.”
Mebane is in a great position to land a large contract depending on the 2011 free agency rules. The market for Mebane could include anyone of the Broncos, Titans, Browns, Bears, Redskins, Jets, Texans, Vikings, and Panthers.
