Braylon Edwards Back With The Jets?

The New York Daily News reports that the Jets have interest in re-singing WR Braylon Edwards to replace Plaxico Burress who is not expected to be back. Manish Mehta writes that Edwards will only be pursued “if he’s healthy and the price is right.”

Edwards has mentioned that he would like to return to the Big Apple after signing a one-year contract with the 49ers which wound up being a hugely disappointing season for him. San Francisco released him after dealing with a number of injuries.

He should be able to fill their need for a deep threat and his blocking ability is a plus as well but health and effectiveness are the question marks here.
