Bengals Re-Signing TE Tyler Eifert To One-Year Deal

Adam Schefter reports that Bengals’ TE Tyler Eifert reached agreement on a one-year deal to stay in Cincinnati.

Eifert has been medically cleared by Dr. Robert Watkins to participate in OTAs this spring and play in 2018 after undergoing micro-disc surgery last season, but it appears as though his injury concerns led to a limited amount of interest on the open market.

Eifert, 27, is a first-round pick of the Bengals back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $8.256 million contract and finished the 2017 season under the fifth-year option.

Eifert made $4.782 million in 2017 before testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2017, Eifert appeared in two games before landing on the injured reserve and caught four passes for 46 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Bengals.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
