Falcons Sign RT Ryan Schraeder To Five-Year Extension Worth Up To $33M

The Atlanta Falcons have locked up RT Ryan Schraeder to a five-year contract extension on Monday, according to Adam Schefter.

  • According to Ian Rapoport, Schraeder’s new five-year extension with the Falcons is worth a maximum of $33 million.
  • Rapoport adds that the base value of the contract is $32 million with $19.5 million coming his way over the first three years of the agreement. Schraeder’s contract includes $12.5M guaranteed.

Schraeder may not be a household name, but he has been a very solid player for the Falcons and has really earned a long-term extension from the Falcons.

Schraeder, 28, signed on with the Falcons as undrafted free agent out of Valdosta State back in 2013. He played out his three-year, $1,487,000 rookie contract with the team before Atlanta used a second-round tender on him.

In 2016, Schraeder appeared in all 10 games for the Falcons and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 13 offensive tackle out of 80 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Top 30 – 2017 Free Agents list.
