While a report from earlier in the day mentioned that Jeremy Maclin was deciding between the Ravens and Bills, Josina Anderson reports that Maclin was actually deciding between the Ravens and Eagles, and Baltimore ultimately won out in the end.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk confirms that the Eagles did, in fact, make an attempt to sign Maclin.

According to Florio, the Eagles hold Maclin in “very high regard” and wanted to make an effort to sign him. However, Maclin felt that the Ravens were ultimately the better fit for him in the end.

The Baltimore Ravens have already announced the signing of Jeremy Maclin.

Adam Schefter is reporting that the Ravens are signing WR Jeremy Maclin to a two-year deal.

Maclin had reportedly been deciding between the Ravens and Bills and was expected to announce his decision Monday.

The Bills had RB LeSean McCoy and QB Tyrod Taylor recruiting Maclin, but it appears as though the chance to join the Ravens wound up being the more appealing option for him in the end.

Maclin rounds out a Ravens’ receiving corps that includes veteran Mike Wallace and former first-round pick Breshard Perriman.

Maclin, 29, is a former first-round pick of the Eagles back in 2009. He spent five years with the Eagles before signing a five-year, $55 million contract that included $22.5 million guaranteed with the Chiefs in 2015.

Maclin was set to make a base salary of $9.75 million for the 2017 season when the Chiefs released him in a move that freed up $10 million of available cap space.

In 2016, Maclin appeared in 12 games and caught 44 passes for 536 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 78 receiver out of 115 qualifying players.
