Saints S Kenny Vaccaro Facing 4-Game Suspension For Adderall Use

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Saints S Kenny Vaccaro is facing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL drug policy for use of Adderall.

  • Rapoport adds that Vaccaro is still awaiting final word from the NFL regarding a potential ban and can play in Sunday’s game.

This would be a huge blow to the Saints’ defense if his suspension is upheld by the league.

Vaccaro, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Saints back in 2013. He was in the final year of his four-year, $9.425 million contract when the Saints elected to pick up his fifth-year option for 2017 that will pay him $5.676 million.

In 2016, Vaccaro has appeared in seven games and recorded 44 tackles, no interceptions, two forced fumbles, a recovery and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 19 safety out of 86 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Vaccaro’s suspension as the news is available.
