Texans LB Brian Cushing Suspended 10 Games For PED Violation

According to Field Yates, Texans LB Brian Cushing‘s 10 game suspension will cost himĀ over $4 million from his contract, while Yates mentions he would lose more if the team attempts to recoup any of his signing bonus.

The Texans had already ruled Cushing out for Week 2s game against the Bengals with aĀ concussion, but it appears as though he’ll miss most of the 2017 season with this suspension.

Cushing, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Texans back in 2009. He’s currently in the fourth year of his six-year, $55.643 million contractĀ that includes $21 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $5.5 million and $7.25 million over the nex two years of the agreement.

This season, Cushing has appeared in one game and recorded three tackles and no sacks for the Texans.
