Geoff Mosher reports that the Eagles and Titans will swap fourth-round picks as part of the DeMarco Murray trade.

DeMarco Murray‘s agency has already confirmed the trade via their Twitter account.

  • Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that RB DeMarco Murray’s guarantees included in his contract won’t change as part of this trade with the Titans.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Titans are finalizing deal for Eagles RB DeMarco Murray.

  • According to Schefter, the trade is expected to be complete on Wednesday.

Murray was clearly on the trading block for a few months now, and the Eagles have been working to move on from the Chip Kelly era as fast as possible.

However, it’s somewhat surprising that they managed to find a tacker for him after a disappointing 2015 season.

Murray, 27, is entering the second year of his five-year, $40 million contract that included $21 million guaranteed. He stands to make base salaries of $7 million (2016), $7.5 million (2017), and $7.5 million (2018-2019) over the remainder of the contract.

According to OverTheCap.com, trading Murray will free up $4 million in available cap space for the Eagles while creating $4 million in dead money.

In 2015, Murray ran for 702 yards on 193 carries (3.6 YPC) to go along with 44 receptions for 322 yards receiving and seven total touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 66 running back out of 68 qualifying players.
