Titans Sign DT Jurrell Casey To Four-Year, $60.4M Extension

The Tennessee Titans announced Friday that they’ve agreed to a multi-year contract extension with defensive lineman Jurrell Casey.

  • Adam Schefter reports that Casey receives a four-year, $60.4 million extension with $40 million guaranteed.

Casey, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Titans back in 2011. He still had two years remaining on his five-year, $37.431 million contract that included $20.5 million guaranteed, but it appears as though Tennessee wanted to reward him for being among the games best interior defensive linemen.

In 2016, Casey appeared in 15 games for the Titans and recorded 44 tackles, five sacks, and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 10 interior defender out of 125 qualifying players.
