Brian Hartline Visiting With Bears, Expected To Decide On Next Team Soon

Pro Football Talk, citing a league source, reports that the free agent WR Brian Hartline will visit with the Bears on Wednesday.

  • Mary Kay Cabot reports that the Browns are still in the running for Hartline, even though he’s meeting with other teams.

According to PFT, Hartline is hoping to make a decision regarding his new team at some point in the next 24 hours. Hartline has previously met with the Browns.

Shortly after the news broke that Miami was releasing Hartline, speculation connected Hartline to the Browns given their need for receiver help and the fact that he’s from Ohio.

Hartline, 28, still had another three years remaining on his five-year, $30.775 million contract when he was released. The move freed up $3.15 million available cap space for the Dolphins.

In 2014, Hartline appeared in all 16 games and caught 39 passes for 474 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Pro Football Focus rated Hartline as the No. 103 receiver out of 110 qualifying players.
