Broncos Are Starting To Show Heavy Interest In Peyton Manning

Earlier in the day, Mike Klis of the Denver Post reported that the Denver Bronco “could well be players” for Peyton Manning.

Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reports that a league source mentioned that Denver is believed to have “positioned themselves to make a significant push” for Manning.

Vic Lombardi of CBS 4 Denver follows that up by tweeting that the Broncos will be “serious” contenders for Manning.

Lombardi adds that Broncos intend to sell Manning on their “top-ranked run game” and “stable O-Line” despite the fact that had a lot to do with Tim Tebow and the adjusted offense he ran in Denver.

Lombardi also tweeted that Manning “is very interested in the Broncos as well,” and that “This thing’s mutual.”

I find all of this be somewhat shocking considering that the Broncos hadn’t shown up in serious reports until today. It makes sense from the conspiracy theorist standpoint that signing Manning is the best way to rid themselves of Tebow but they’ve shown every indication that they plan to have him as their starter prior to today.

You can expect to hear more about the Broncos interest in Manning as well as the other however many team’s are showing interest in him.
