Broncos C Matt Paradis Out For Season With Fractured Fibula

Update:

Mike Klis reports that Broncos C Matt Paradis will have surgery to repair his fractured fibula as soon as the swelling goes down, but there’s no dislocation in his ankle.

Paradis is out for the season and will be placed on injured reserve in the coming days.

Troy Renck spoke with a source who said that the early concern regarding Broncos C Matt Paradis is that he suffered a fractured right fibula that could end his 2018 season.

Broncos C Matt Paradis went down with a right ankle injury during Sunday’s game against the Texans was taken off the field on a cart.

Paradis had never missed a snap his NFL career before today and is currently in a contract year, so hopefully this isn’t a serious injury.

Paradis, 29, is a former sixth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2014. He was waived at the start of his rookie season and later signed to their practice squad.

Denver brought Paradis back on an exclusive rights contracts the past two years before re-signed him to a one-year, $2.914 million restricted deal this past April.

Paradis will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

In 2018, Paradis appeared in nine games for the Broncos.

We have him featured in our Top 25 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
