The NFL has suspended Broncos CB Aqib Talib one game for violating the league’s personal-conduct policy, according to Mike Klis.

  • Pro Football Talk reports that Talib will have an expedited appeals hearing with a decision likely will come by Wednesday.

This stems from the incident in which Talib poken Colts TE Dwayne Allen in the eye, which resulted in a personal foul that all but sealed the game for Indianapolis.

Broncos HC Gary Kubiak said of Talib’s actions: “He’s wrong. He needs to stay out of the situation. And he knows that.

However, Kubiak added: “I’m convinced after taking with Aqib he had no intention of poking anyone in the eye.

Talib, 29, is in the second year of his six-year, $57 million contract that included $26 million guaranteed. He stands to make a base salary of $5.5 million this season and another $8.5 million next year.

This year, Talib has appeared in eight games and recorded 20 tackles, three interceptions including two touchdowns and eight pass defenses for the Broncos.
