Report: Broncos & Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Discussed Extension At Combine

Ross Jones of FOX Sports reports that the Denver Broncos and free agent CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie met at last weekends Scouting Combine to discuss an extension.

According to Jones, the Broncos view Rodgers-Cromartie as their top offseason priority and are expected to remain in contact with one another in the coming weeks. Jones adds that an agreement is not imminent at this point in time.

The Broncos have said publicly that they will allow their free agents to test the open market in the hope that they will give them a chance to match the offers they receive.

Denver is in a similar situation to the Ravens last year where it’s going to be very hard to retain their free agents while addressing other players on their roster who will need extensions like WR Demaryius Thomas and TE Julius Thomas.

Other Broncos’ notable free agents include WR Eric DeckerRB Knowshon Moreno, and DE Robert Ayers.

We have Rodgers-Cromartie listed as the No.17 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list
