Broncos Claim DE Jimmy Bean Off Waivers From Raiders, Cut DB Dontrell Nelson

The Denver Broncos officially claimed DE Jimmy Bean off of waivers from the Raiders on Friday and waived DB Dontrell Nelson.

Bean, 23, signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in September of last year to the team’s practice squad.

The Raiders re-signed him to a futures contract in January but cut him loose on Thursday. Bean has yet to appear in an NFL game.

During his four-year college career, Bean recorded 104 total tackles, 27 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, one pass defense and three forced fumbles.
