Broncos Claim FB Toben Opurum Off Waivers From Saints, Cut TE Anthony Norris

The Denver Broncos have claimed FB Toben Opurum off of waivers from the Saints on Tuesday, according to Troy Renck.

  • Renck adds that the Broncos waived TE Anthony Norris to make room for Opurum.

Opurum, 25, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2013. He lasted less than a year in Kansas City before he was waived in December of 2013 and later signed a future/reserve contract with the Saints a few months later.

Opurum was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was on and off of the Saints’ active roster last year. New Orleans elected to cut him loose on Monday.

In 2015, Opurum was active for two games and did not record a single statistic.
