Broncos Claim WR Solomon Patton Off Waivers From Buccaneers

The Denver Broncos also claimed WR/KR Solomon Patton off of waivers from the Buccaneers on Tuesday, according to Troy Renck.

Patton, 24, is in the final year of his contract and would have made a base salary of $510,000 for the 2015 season before becoming an exclusive rights free agent in 2016.

Patton signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Florida back in May of last year. He was on and off the team’s practice squad for much of the year before briefly joining the Cardinals.

In 2014, Patton appeared in seven games and caught no passes, but he received one carry for 19 yards while also returning kicks.
