Broncos DT Vance Walker Out For Season With Torn ACL

The Denver Broncos announced Monday evening that veteran DT Vance Walker is expected to miss the entire 2016 season with a torn ACL.

“We think the world of Vance and he was having a great camp,” Head Coach Gary Kubiak said. “We’ll support him through his recovery, and he’ll come back stronger than ever.”

Walker, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Falcons back in 2009. He spent four years in Atlanta before signing on with the Raiders as an unrestricted free agent in 2013.

Walker later signed on with the Chiefs, but was cut loose this past March before signing a two-year, $4 million contract with the Broncos.

In 2015, Walker appeared in 15 games for the Broncos and recorded 33 tackles, two scaks, and a forced fumble.
