Broncos Expected To Make QB Trevor Siemian Available For Trade

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Broncos are expected to make Trevor Siemian available for trade at this year’s scouting combine.

According to Rapoport, the Broncos plan to sign a free agent quarterback and still consider drafting another, which means their depth chart at the position could include two new additions to go along with Paxton Lynch.

Siemian’s 2017 season ended with him being placed on injured reserve after he suffered a subluxation, or partial dislocation, of his left shoulder.

Siemian, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2015. He’s entering the final year of his four-year, $2.33 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.

In 2017, Siemian threw for 2,285 yards while completing 59 percent of his passes to go along with 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 36 quarterback out of 39 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Siemian as the news is available.
