Broncos Expected To Make A “Serious Attempt” To Re-Sign CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

Mike Klis of the Denver Post writes that the Broncos are likely to make a “serious attempt” to re-sign free agent CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in the coming days now that they have parted ways with veteran CB Champ Bailey.

  • Klis mentions that Denver still needs to sign “at least two” cornerbacks in either the free agent market or the draft.
  • According to Klis, Rodgers-Cromartie is expected to command as much as $6 million to $7 million per season over the course of multiple seasons.

Ross Jones of FOX Sports previously reported that the Broncos and Rodgers-Cromartie met at the Scouting Combine to discuss an extension.

Rodgers-Cromartie is believed to be the Broncos top offseason priority, so we’ll have to see talks are able to progress this weekend.

Last year, he totaled 31 tackles, three interceptions and a touchdown over the course of 15 games. We have Rodgers-Cromartie listed as the No.13 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
