Broncos Expected To Activate LB Danny Trevathan From I.R.

According to Jeff Legwold of ESPN, the Broncos are expected to activate LB Danny Trevathan from the short-term injured reserve list in time for Sunday’s game against the Chargers.

Denver placed Trevathan on the injured reserve list with the designation to return back in October after he sustained a fracture above his left kneecap during Week 6’s matchup.

Trevathan has been able to participate in practice over the past two weeks and DC Jack Del Rio mentioned that it has been “great to have him back in the mix.’’

The Broncos will have make a roster move in order to free up a roster spot for the returning linebacker.

Trevathan, 24, is in the third year of his four-year, $2,204,072 rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.

This season, he has been limited to appearing in just two games and recording seven tackles.
