Broncos HC Gary Kubiak Returning To Team On Monday

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Broncos HC Gary Kubiak will return to the team on Monday after missing Thursday night’s game due to a migraine condition.

Kubiak was ordered to take this week off after he was taken to the hospital last night for complex migraines following the team’s Week 5 game.

Special teams coach Joe DeCamillis filled in for Kubiak on Thursday on an interim basis, which allowed offensiveRick Dennison and defensive coordinator Wade Phillips to continue as they’ve been this season.

Considering that Kubiak suffered a stroke during a game a few years ago when he was still the Texans’ head coach, it made plenty of sense for the Broncos to be as cautious as possible with his health.

Denver has some extra time to prepare for their Week 7 game against the Texans, as it will be a week from Monday.

Kubiak, 55, has led the Broncos to a record of 16 and 6 (72.7 percent) over the past year and a half which includes a Super Bowl title last year.
