Broncos HC John Fox Reportedly “Loves” Minnesota DT Ra’Shede Hageman

 

In Peter King’s most recent mock draft, he notes that one general manager told him that Broncos HC John Fox “loves” Minnesota DT Ra’Shede Hageman.

Hageman is a name that most pundits have a hard time placing.  He has the size and burst that teams covet in a defensive lineman, but questions surrounding his consistency have plagued him.

Denver has a pair of disruptive tackles in Sylvester Williams and Terrance Knighton, but Hageman has the versatility to move around the defensive line.  This versatility combined with rare talent could make him too good to pass up at pick No. 31.

Denver’s free agent acquisitions- most notably S T.J. Ward and CB Aqib Talib– prove that Denver is in “win now” mode.  While some may view Hageman as a project, pairing him up with Peyton Manning and company may provide the type of competitive environment he will need to flourish.
