Broncos Interested In Re-Signing LB Dekoda Watson and DT Vance Walker

Broncos executive VP John Elway told reporters on Monday that they’re interested in re-signing free agent Dekoda Watson and DT Vance Walker, per Mike Klis.

Walker, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Falcons back in 2009. He spent four years in Atlanta before signing on with the Raiders as an unrestricted free agent in 2013.

Walker later signed on with the Chiefs, but was cut loose this in March of last year. The Broncos later signed him to a two-year, $4 million contract. However, he, unfortunately, suffered a torn ACL during the summer and subsequently missed the entire season.

In 2015, Walker appeared in 15 games for the Broncos and recorded 33 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble.

Watson, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2010. He wound up playing out his rookie contract with the team before signings on with the Jaguars in March of 2014.

Jacksonville elected to release Watson during his first season with the team. After brief stints with the Cowboys and Patriots, Watson later signed a one-year, $760,000 contract with the Broncos.

In 2016, Watson appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos and recorded 17 tackles, one sack, and a forced fumble.
