Broncos Interested In Re-Signing RB Ronnie Hillman, Several Other Teams Interested

Mike Klis of 9News reports that the Broncos have expressed interest in re-signing free agent RB Ronnie Hillman

  • Klis adds that Hillman has interest from “several” other teams, who all have more available cap space to work with than the Broncos currently do.

One team that has been linked to Hillman, according to reports, is the Packers, who have been “poking around” on free agent running backs including Hillman.

Denver managed to bring back C.J. Anderson after they matched the Dolphins’ offer sheet a few weeks ago.

Hillman, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Broncos back in 2012. He has played out his rookie contract and is now testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time.

In 2015, Hillman appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos and ran for 863 yards on 207 carries (4.2 YPC) to go along with 24 receptions for 111 yards receiving and seven total touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 49 running back out of qualifying 69 players.

We have him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
