Broncos Likely to Franchise OT Ryan Clady?

Jeff Legwold of the Denver Post writes that the Broncos could take a “wait-and-see approach” regarding impending free agent OT Ryan Clady.

Clady, 26, recently underwent surgery on his shoulder and is reportedly seeking a deal that would average over $10 million annually and possibly even more than $38 million in guarantees.

Previous reports indicated that Clady turned down a a five-year, $50 million offer from the Broncos last offseason.

Denver could also apply their franchise tag to Clady, which would run them $9.66 million next season. This would buy them additional time to work out a long-term agreement.

We have Clady listed as the No. 2 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
