There’s been plenty of speculation regarding which of his former teammates may follow Peyton Manning to his next NFL stop. Many believed that Reggie Wayne was the odds on favorite, but chose to stay in Indianapolis.
Here’s a quick breakdown of where things stand right now.
Jason LaCanfora tweets that Saturday will make a visit to Denver before deciding on where he’ll be playing next season.
Saturday is also scheduled to meet with the Green Bay Packers and the Titans have also shown interest.
The Denver Post believes that Clark will be signed in near future despite his age and history of injuries.
The Broncos lost Daniel Fells to the Patriots recently but he was more of a blocking tight end than a receiver, so it would make sense for them to sign Clark if he’s capable of producing.
NFL.com’s Jason La Canfora sees TE Jacob Tamme as someone that Denver will consider signing in the coming days.
Tamme is an under-the-radar option that could end up being a good value at this point in free agency. The Broncos should really consider making this move if it’s available to them.
Evan Silva of Pro Football Talk tosses out Addai’s name as a low-cost option for the Broncos.
Denver needs some additional help at running back position but Silva notes that Addai has been relegated to being a blocker that’s capable of catching the ball out of the backfield. He will, however, be a low cost option for Denver which is something that they’ll have to consider not that Manning will take a large percentage of their available cap space.
Jason La Canfora reports that the Broncos will most likely sign WR Brandon Stokley at some point.
It’s hard to say how much playing time they could offer him, even though you could make the case that they could still use another receiver. Still, there’s really no guarantee that Stokley will be as effective as he was in years past either.
