Jaguars Reportedly Not Interested In Ben Tate Or LeGarrette Blount

Update:

Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports that the Jaguars have no interest in recently released running backs Ben Tate or LeGarrette Blount.

Jason Cole of the Bleacher Report mentioned Tuesday night that it looks like a team at the top of the waiver priority will be placing a waiver claim on Tate.

Cole specifically mentions the Raiders, Jaguars, Buccaneers, Titans and Jets the teams that could come away with Tate on Wednesday.

We’ll have more updates regarding Tate as the news is available.

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that the Broncos do not have interest in either Ben Tate or LeGarrette Blount, despite their injuries at the running back position.

Klis’ source mentions that there just isn’t enough time remaining to get either player up to speed in the team’s offensive system. Had this been earlier in the year, Klis’ source believes Denver would have interest in both players.

As of now, the Broncos are expected to move forward with the running backs they currently have available and hope they don’t sustain another injury to one of their backs.

Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman are expected to be back in 2-3 weeks, which means that C.J. Anderson and rookie Juwan Thompson will handle the workload for the time being.

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN is reporting that the Colts have begun doing research on Tate and appear to be interested in placing a waiver claim on him.
