Update:

Broncos HC Gary Kubiak announced Monday that OLB DeMarcus Ware will undergo surgery on Tuesday and is expected to be out between 4-5 weeks.

Pro Football Talk reports that Broncos OLB DeMarcus Ware is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with an ulna fracture.

Broncos HC Gary Kubiak told reporters after the game that they will evaluate Ware’s injury on Monday and determine whether he needs surgery or not.

The Broncos had Ware on the non-football injury list during the preseason with a back injury, so his durability is something worth monitoring this season.

Ware, 34, agreed to a restructured contract with the Broncos back in March. He signed a one-year, $6.5 million contract that included a $2 million signing bonus with another $3.5 million available in incentives. Ware will make a base salary of $4 million for the 2016 season.

Entering today’s game, Ware had recorded three tackles and 1.5 sacks for the Broncos in their season-opener.

We’ll have more regarding Ware and his injury as the news is available.
