Broncos Open To Trading No. 5 Pick, Have Spoken To Teams About Potential Deal

According to James Palmer, the Denver Broncos and executive VP John Elway have received calls from teams interested in possibly trading up to No. 5 overall. Palmer says that the Broncos are open to the idea of trading down from the No. 5 spot on Thursday.

  • Lance Zierlein of NFL.com mentions that if Wyoming QB Josh Allen is on the board for the Broncos at No. 5, he thinks Denver will try to trade out.
  • Mike Klis says that if a team like the Bills wants to trade up with the Broncos, it will likely cost them first-, second- and third-round picks.

The Broncos have been a popular candidate to trade down in the early part of round one, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

Recent reports have said that the Browns have received calls regarding their No. 4 selection, which means interested teams such as the Bills, Dolphins or Cardinals may have a few options to consider when it comes to trading up for a potential quarterback.

Of course, the Broncos could always hold onto the pick and take a top prospect such as a quarterback, Saquon Barkley, Bradley Chubb or even Quenton Nelson.

We’ll have more regarding the Broncos as the news is available.
