Broncos Parting Ways With QBs Coach Greg Knapp

Mike Klis of 9News is reporting that the Broncos are parting ways with quarterbacks coach Greg Knapp on Friday.

New Broncos HC Vance Joseph continues to overhaul the team’s coaching staff, particularly on the offensive side of the ball.

Denver has already parted ways with OC Rick Dennison, OL coach Clancy Barone, special teams assistant Tony Coakum, TEs coach Brian Pariani and OL assistant Jim Cregg.

The Broncos are reportedly finalizing a deal with Mike McCoy to return as their offensive coordinator and there could be even more changes coming beyond that, depending on how they want to structure their staff.

Knapp, 53, began his NFL coaching career with the 49ers back in 1997 as their offensive quality control coach. He worked his way up to offensive coordinator in San Francisco before he joined the Falcons in 2004.

Since then, Knapp has worked for the Raiders, Seahawks and Texans before being hired by the Broncos to coach their quarterbacks back in 2013.

We’ll have more regarding staff changes for the Broncos as the news is available.
