Broncos Place FB Andy Janovich On Injured Reserve Following Ankle Surgery

The Denver Broncos officially placed FB Andy Janovich on season-ending injured reserve Friday to make room for WR/KR Kalif Raymond, who was promoted to their active roster.

The Denver Broncos are placing FB Andy Janovich on injured reserve following ankle surgery, per Nicki Jhabvala.

The Broncos will likely add someone to their roster in the next day or so fill Janovich’s spot. In regards to fullback, Denver will likely turn to Juwan Thompson.

Janovich, 23, was taken in the sixth-round of this year’s NFL draft by the Broncos. He’s currently in the first year of his four-year, $2.5 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $450,000 and $540,000 over the next two years.

In 2016, Janovich has appeared in 11 games for the Broncos and ran for 33 yards on four carries (8.3 YPC) to go along with five receptions for 44 yards receiving and one total touchdown.
