Broncos Placing LB Corey Nelson On IR, Promoting OL Dillon Day

The Denver Broncos are placing LB Corey Nelson on injured reserve and are planning to promote OL Dillon Day to their active roster, according to Mike Klis.

Klis adds that Nelson will undergo surgery Monday on for a torn biceps.

Nelson, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2014. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2,268,600 contract and stands to make a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season before becoming an unrestricted free agent next year.

In 2017, Nelson appeared in five games for the Broncos and recorded four tackles and no sacks.
