Broncos Placing Rookie LT Ty Sambrailo On Season-Ending I.R.

Broncos HC Gary Kubiak announced Monday that they’ve placing rookie LT Ty Sambrailo on season-ending injured reserve Monday, per Mike Klis.

  • Kubiak added that Sambrailo will undergo shoulder surgery in the coming days.

Sambrailo had been trying to practice, despite the injury, but it appears as though both parties decided it was best for him shut it down get healthy for next year.

Sambrailo, 23, is in the first year of his four-year, $3.9 million rookie contract that included a $1.057 million signing bonus. He stands to make base salaries of $435,000 (2015), $525,000 (2016), $615,000 (2017), and $705,000 (2018) over the remainder of the agreement.

His rookie season ends with him appearing in three games and playing a total of 215 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
