Broncos Promote DL Kyle Peko & CB Taurean Nixon To Active Roster, Add Three To PS

The Denver Broncos have promoted DL Kyle Peko and CB Taurean Nixon to their active roster on Wednesday, according to Mike Klis.

  • The Broncos signed DL Losia Losia, WR Hunter Sharpe and OL Reese Dismukes to their practice squad.

Peko, 23, wound up signing three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State back in May. He was set to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season when the Broncos waived him back in September and later signed him to their practice squad.

During his one year at Oregon State, Peko recorded 45 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks and two pass defenses.

Peko has yet to be active for a game this season.

Nixon, 25, was taken in the seventh-round of the 2015 NFL draft. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later signed to their practice squad.

Denver promoted Nixon to their active roster back in January but was re-signed to the practice squad after being among the team’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

He’s been on and off of the Broncos’ roster this season.

In 2016, Nixon has appeared in one game for the Broncos and recorded one total tackle.
