Broncos Promoting CB Marcus Rios To Active Roster

The Denver Broncos are promoting CB Marcus Rios to their active roster on Friday, according to Mike Klis.

Rios will take the roster spot of suspended CB Aqib Talib, per Nick Jhabvala.

Rios, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Broncos cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.

During his college career at UCLA, Rios recorded 84 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, 11 pass defenses, and two forced fumbles over the course of 29 games.
