Broncos Promoting CB Michael Hunter To Active Roster

The Denver Broncos are promoting CB Michael Hunter, who had interest from a few teams, to their active roster on Tuesday, according to Mike Klis.

The Broncos’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. C Dillon Day
  2. TE Brian Parker
  3. WR Tim Patrick
  4. DE Stansly Maponga
  5. OT Jeremiah Poutasi
  6. DE Jhaustin Thomas
  7. WR River Cracraft

Hunter, 24, wound up signing on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in May of last year. He was on and off of their active roster last season and later returned to New York on a future/reserve contract this past January.

Unfortunately, the Giants waived with an injury designation a few weeks ago and he later reverted to their injured reserve list. New York him from injured reserve with a settlement last month.

Hunter had a brief stint on the Jets’ practice squad before the Broncos signed him to their taxi squad a few weeks ago.

In 2017, Hunter has appeared in four games but has yet to record a statistic.
