Broncos QB Chad Kelly Arrested, Charged With First-Degree Criminal Trespassing

Nicki Jhabvala is reporting that Broncos QB Chad Kelly was arrested early Tuesday on a charge of first-degree criminal trespassing in Englewood, Colo. According to Jhabvala, the Broncos are aware of the incident.

The Broncos issued the following statement regarding Kelly’s arrest:

We are disappointed that Chad Kelly was arrested early this morning. Our organization has been in contact with Chad, and we are in the process of gathering more information.

Mike Klis believes Kelly’s time with the Broncos could be in jeopardy following this arrest.

Kelly, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2017. He signed a four-year, $2.464 million contract that included a $64,270 signing bonus and stands to make base salaries of $555,000 and $645,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

During his college career, Kelly threw for 6,858 yards while completing 63.9 percent of his passes to go along with 50 touchdowns and 21 interceptions.
