Broncos QB Paxton Lynch Expected To Be Medically Cleared & Return To Practice Next Week

According to Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post, Broncos QB Paxton Lynch is expected to be medically cleared by Sunday and will return to practice in full next week.

This sets up a situation where the Broncos will have to decide whether to start Lynch or go with Brock Osweiler, who is coming off of a decent outing against the Colts in which he threw for 197 yards, two touchdowns and rushed for another score.

Lynch, 23, was taken with the No. 26 overall pick after the Broncos traded up from No. 31 overall to get him in last year’s draft. Lynch signed a four-year, $9.4 million contract that includes $7.88 guaranteed and is set to make base salaries of $880,741 and $1.31 million over the next two years.

The contract also includes a fifth-year option to pick up in 2019.

In 2017, Lynch has appeared in one game for the Broncos and completed 64.3 percent of his passes to go along with no touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed for 20 yards.

We’ll have more regarding Lynch and the Broncos as the news is available.
