Broncos & Raiders Request Workouts With OT Will Beatty

Tom Rock of Newsday reports free agent OT Will Beatty will meet with doctors on Monday in the hope of getting the green light in regards to his surgically repaired shoulder and begin meeting with teams.

The Broncos and Raiders have both reached out to Beatty and requested workouts with him, but he wants to wait until he is completely recovered from rotator cuff surgery before meeting with anyone.

I want to make sure I can perform and show who I really am,” Beatty said. “I don’t want to show them an injured Will. I don’t want to visit a team and say ‘It’ll get better.’ I want to be good and ready to go. I want to say ‘I’m ready and I can be your guy.’ ”

Beatty, 30, was entering the fourth year of his five-year, $37.5 million contract and was set to make base salaries of $6.625 million when he was released in a move that freed up $4,175,000 in available cap space for the Giants.

Beatty’s 2015 season ended when tore his pectoral muscle while working in the weight room back in May of last year.

We had him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
