Knowshon Moreno Dealing With A “Significant Bone Bruise”

Update:

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno is dealing with a “significant bone bruise” in his lower right leg.

According to Klis, Moreno is “questionable at best” to play against the Chiefs in Week 13. Klis admits that Moreno’s injury is not considered serious by football standards, but there is still some concern that it could cost him to miss Sunday’s game.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentioned on Monday’s NFL Insiders that the Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno‘s ankle injury is “not serious.

  • Schefter adds that the team expects him to practice this week.
  • HC Jack Del Rio mentioned on Monday that Moreno has a bruised ankle.

Moreno is coming off of a career game against the Patriots in which he carried the ball 37 times for 224 yards and a touchdown. He was clearly hurting during the overtime period, which is hardly surprising when you carry the ball that many times between the tackles.

Moreno was seen on crutches and sporting a walking boot following the game, so there was some concern that he could have a serious injury.

Rookie RB Montee Ball fumbled again, which led to him being benched. Undrafted rookie C.J. Anderson nearly lost a fumble of his own, but it will be interesting to see if he takes over as the team’s No. 2 running back.
