Broncos RB Montee Ball Could Be “Out For A While”

Mike Klis of the Denver Post, citing an NFL source, reports that Broncos RB Montee Ball could be “out for a while” after he suffered a groin strain during Sunday’s win over the Cardinals.

Ball will undergo further testing on Monday to determine the severity of the injury, as well as a potential timeline.

Ball finished the game with just seven yards rushing on six carries and was replaced by Ronnie Hillman and Juwan Thompson.

C.J. Anderson was a healthy inactive, but he figures to be in the mix over the next few weeks if Ball ends up missing some time.

Ball, 23, has ran for 172 yards on 54 carries (3.18 YPC) and a touchdown. He’s also added nine receptions for 62 yards receiving over the course of four games.

We’ll have more regarding Ball’s status as the news is available.
