The Denver Broncos re-signed restricted free agent K Brandon McManus, according to Adam Schefter.
According to Schefter, it’s still possible that Denver and McManus could work out a long-term deal.
The second-round tender will cost the Broncos $2.746 million for the 2017 season.
McManus, 26, originally signed on with the Colts back in 2013. He lasted just a few months with the Colts before he caught on with the Giants at the end of the 2014 season.
New York later traded McManus to the Broncos for a 2015 conditional seventh-round pick that ultimately became Tre McBride. After a decent preseason, the Broncos cut veteran Matt Prater and kept McManus.
In 2016, McManus appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos and converted 29 of 34 field goal attempts (85.3 percent) to go along with 32 of 33 extra point tries (97 percent).
