Broncos Release Veteran DT Kevin Vickerson

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Broncos have released veteran DT Kevin Vickerson as they work to get down to 53 players.

Vickerson, 31, signed a two-year, $5 million contract that included a $1 million signing bonus with the Broncos last year. He was set to make $1.25 million for the 2014 season.

Last year, he appeared in 11 games and recorded 22 tackles and a sack. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 56 defensive tackle out of 69 qualifying players last season.
