Broncos Restructure TE Jacob Tamme’s Contract

The Denver Broncos restructured TE Jacob Tamme‘s contract in recent days, according to Jeff Legwold.

  • According to Field Yates of ESPN, Tamme’s reworked contract includes a base salary of $1.25 million and another $1.3 million in incentives.
  • The max value of his deal is still $3 million.

Tamme, 29, is entering the final year of his three-year, $9 million contract that included $3.5 million guaranteed. He had a $3 million base salary for the upcoming season, so it appears as though the Broncos had him reduce that figure and agree to include the difference in incentives.

Last year, Tamme appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos and caught 20 passes for 184 yards receiving and a touchdown. Pro Football Focus actually rated him as the No. 14 tight end out of 64 qualifying players.
