Broncos Have Robert Griffin III On Their List Of QBs, Could Bring Him In For Visit

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that with the Broncos losing QB Brock Osweiler to the Texans, Denver has Robert Griffin III on their list of potential replacement quarterbacks.

According to Schefter, the Broncos could bring RGIII in for a visit at some point.

Griffin, 25, was in the final year of his four-year, $21,119,098 rookie contract when Washington elected to pick up his fifth-year option worth $16.2 million last year.

However, they elected to bench him and make RGIII their third-string quarterback to prevent him from getting injured, which would have made his $16.2 million in 2016 fully guaranteed.

Washington just recently cut him loose.

In 2014, Griffin appeared in nine games and threw for 1,694 yards while completing 68.7 percent of his passes to go along with four touchdowns and six interceptions.

We’ll have more regarding the Broncos and RGIII as the news is available.
